James Whitsett: I was born and raised in Oklahoma city. I went to Putnam city high school, class of 1978. I graduated from college at Oklahoma State University in 1984 with a manufacturing engineering degree. I took my first job out of college as a project engineer for LTV Aerospace in Dallas Texas. I married my girl friend from college in September that same year. In 1991 I took a job with Boeing in Seattle Washington as a procurement cost analyst. My daughter was born in 1991. My son was born in 1993. While living in Seattle, I became a licensed massage therapist. I maintained a part time business in massage while working full time for Boeing. In 1999, I had an opportunity to move to Clearwater Florida to work for my little brother's computer company. I took the job and moved the whole family to Clearwater beach. Swimming is my favorite past time. I started swimming in my 30's. I eventually joined a masters group and began swimming competitively. In 2007, I got myself into triathlons. As a result, I have really developed a passion for this sport. I wake up each day with excitement looking forward to my morning of training.
